Liz Hinlein is a DGA director and cinematographer working across narrative film, immersive XR, and branded content.

In her original work, her documentary-based XR project Attention MOVE: This Is America places audiences inside the fifteen minutes before the 1985 MOVE bombing in Philadelphia. The project is supported by the Venice Biennale and is currently in development with the City College of New York's Digital Game Department. Her debut feature, Other People's Children, premiered at the Directors Guild of America and streams on Amazon Prime and Apple TV+. Her short films have screened at festivals including Berlin and Slamdance.

In commercial and branded work, she directed the landmark Dove Real Beauty campaign alongside Shonda Rhimes, generating more than three billion earned media impressions. She has directed Halle Berry for Revlon, Mary J. Blige for MAC Cosmetics, and created more than ten art films for MAC alongside photographers Rankin and Hiro. Her clients include Dove, NFL, Walmart, MAC Cosmetics, Revlon, Maybelline, and FabFitFun.

Drawing on two decades of directing performance for film, advertising, and immersive media, she founded Golden Films Performance Lab, where she helps actors, founders, executives, and public-facing leaders prepare for high-stakes moments.
